
Michael H. Diehl, Senior Vice President and Community Facilities Lender, has more than 30 years of experience in commercial banking. He comes to UBCD from Truist Bank, where he spent 20 years as a Senior Vice President in commercial banking with an emphasis on primary banking relationships on state and local government clients and higher education institutions. Prior to that, he worked for US Bank as a commercial banking team leader and interim regional president. Mike began his career as a division director of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, serving in several state agencies and closely related entities. He also served as project director of international developing countries training in Egypt, funded by USAID. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Alabama, Master of Science degree and Master of Public Administration degree from Eastern Kentucky University as well as advance studies in areas of development and management from the University of Kentucky.
Mike currently serves as chairman of the board of Gulf Shores Utilities, is the parish campaign chair of Catholic Charities Appeal and a life member and past president of the University of South Alabama Alumni Association.
